He has completed his under graduation (MBBS)from JJM Medical college, Davanagere in 2013, his post graduation (DLO) from JN Medical college, Belagavi in 2017 and also has a fellowship in Micro Ear Surgery (FMES)from KLE University, Belagavi in 2020. He is certified in Cochlear Implantation surgery from IMMAST, Mumbai affiliated to the Royal College of Surgeons, UK. He is the winner of the prestigious Dr. R.A.F. Cooper award for the year 2020. His work experience as a specialist in his field for 6 years.

He is trained by Dr. Milind Kirtane for Cochlear implantation and Dr. H Vijayendra in Micro Ear Surgery. He has attended various state and national conferences and presented papers, posters and videos in them. Having attended many hands on surgical workshops and having worked under various ENT surgeons across South India he has developed a plethora of skills in the field of otology and lateral skull base surgery.
His keen interest lies in the field of otology (ear), lateral skull base surgery and cochlear implantation surgery. he performs simple to complex ear surgeries like Tympanoplasty, mastoidectomy, open cavity mastoid surgeries, stapes surgery, Ossiculoplasty, surgery for tympanosclerosis, facial nerve decompression and grafting, cochlear implantation surgery, surgery for ear tumors.
Dr. Bijjal has worked as a Senior Resident in Dept. of ENT and HNS at JJM Medical College, Davanagere. He has worked as a Senior Registrar at Manipal Hospital, Millers road, Bangalore. He has Also worked as a Consultant at Chikkaballapur District Hospital. His other work experiences include, as a junior consultant at Cavalier Hospital, North Bangalore hospital and StepMed Hospital, Bangalore. He has also worked as a resident at Vijaya ENT care hospital which is a tertiary otology care Hospital, Bangalore and at Dept. of ENT & HNS, JN Medical College, Belagavi.
